Description

The camp founded in 1980, the buffalo was the first allowed to operate in North Luangwa National Park, all thanks to the anti-poaching efforts of its founder John Harvey. Today it still offers a unique experience of African wildlife, thanks to the vast knowledge of its owner Mark Harvey and his experienced staff. The camp is built almost from scratch every year – 7 Chalets, Kitchen, bar and dining area rise from nearly nothing within 4 weeks.

Accommodation: Guests are accommodated in en-suite chalets with hot and cold running water. Most of them consist of a double and single bed, but additional ones can be provided for family accommodation. The cottages are open-fronted with a panoramic view of the river but are designed to prevent unwanted visits from curious animals. There are two types of accommodation available. full board included all meals and activities whereas self-catering does not cover activities that have to be arranged separately. Bar & Restaurant: The cash bar at Buffalo camp offers all essential while in the bush beverage such as ice-cold beer, coke and of course in & tonic for those spectacular sunsets. The restaurant serves meals throughout the day to full board guests.
